My husband is attempting to register for the Community but he cannot do so. Each time he tries, the box where the code is supposed to appear (the one containing the letters/numbers you type in for validation purposes) is nonexistent. Obviously something is wrong--can you check this out and fix it, please?

I expect it is due to a clash between some security tightening we recently did and vbull needing something to be loose in order to function. I will examine shortly and see where the corset needs to be let out.

I understand the problem and have worked around it. Your husband (and everyone else!) should now be able to register again.
