Can anyone recommend a Cognitive Behavior Therapy self-help book? I know there are so many available, so it is overwhelming to know which one to choose. I am looking for one that explains how to change your thinking to positive thoughts and how to cope with life situations.
Thanks!

Hello, I recommend "Mind over Mood" by Dennis Greenberger, Ph.D., and Christine A. Padesky, Ph.D; A Cognitive Therapy Treatment Manual for Clients. They have it here (http://www.amazon.com/Mind-Over-Mood-Change-Changing/dp/0898621283/ref=pd_bbs_sr_1?ie=UTF8&s=books&qid=1218900706&sr=8-1) at Amazon.com.
It's like a workbook that can help change your thinking around. :)

I have used the 12 step program to turn my issues around you can get a book called Emotions Anonymous basic text.which teaches you how to get out of your head, do what you need to do on a daily basis and have a good life.It taught me that I could use spirituality to help me and I didn't have to go near religion ...ask the Buddhists !
I was diagnosed with Alcoholism, Clinical depression, personality disorders . I had no life . now im going to university moving in with my girlfriend and helping others out through a 12 step selfgroup.
Hope this helps ..joe..
